Being stuck in my house through 2020 and then my surgery I’m just sitting around preparing for my favorite season – fall. I’ve added decor throughout the house from Dhier Home to make it cozy and comfortable for the eventual day that it will be done and I can have someone over for a cocktail.
Throughout the past year I have narrowed down the store to my favorite brands and this post encompasses most of them. First, these blankets. La Méricaine is a brand I have carried from our inception. I came across the lovely Valerie on a trip through Hossegor – France’s surfing Mecca. A similar feel, texture and size to the Hermès, our La Mericaine blankets are throughout my home in numerous patterns, as well as her baby blankets. I love switching out the patterns per season and this olive color is perfect for fall.
When we first got this glassware in I was so impressed by the beautiful color, but also the weight! I love a heavier glass that doesn’t feel like you could break it between your fingers. These are so stunning and great for a glass of red.
I am so excited to start carrying Lola James Harper in the store. Launched in Paris in 2013, this fragrance brand is full of inspiring scents that remind me of places I love. We have the candles and room sprays in eight different scents, and I am spraying “The Woody Office of Daddy” throughout my home this fall.
My staff and I are constantly on the hunt for candle holders that can switch up a tablescape or a bookcase and this one from Tina Frey does just that. Handmade from resin in San Francisco, this candle holder looks beautiful with our Ester and Erik candlesticks in an array of moody colors from taupe to merlot.
One of our bestsellers and for good reason, the city collection from Archipelago features scents from the West Coast, Northeast, Florida coast and now our favorite mountain towns. Sun Valley has been burning on my coffee table lately.
Like blankets and pillows, I also switch out a few of my coffee table books for fall and there’s just something about this Ralph Lauren plaid that gets me for the season. My stack is a mix of dark colors and fabulous cabins.
I don’t often eat pasta because I am allergic to most of it, but fall weather makes me want to get some of the best gluten-free options I can find and add in this truffle salt from Amagansett. The same brand used by Jean-Georges and it is incredible.
This understated coffee mug is the same as my entire dining set by Maison Sarah Lavoine in Paris. They have a little cafe inside of their flagship store that uses all of their dishes and having coffee in this mug every morning reminds me of September buying trips and fantastic weather in the city.
And speaking of Paris, this pillow is from Maison de Vacances and the color is stunning with the hint of black in the lining. We continue to switch out the colors throughout the year, but this tan with a tint of olive happens to be my favorite.
Now if we could just forget the rest of 2020 and go ahead and put up the Christmas tree…
xx, P
